Hello Australia, has the current situation opened the eyes of industries and leaders?

Is there opportunity to re-establish our manufacturing sector?

Is this the answer to unemployment skyrocketing, economic disaster and emotional and psychological meltdowns?

That depends, certainly there is opportunity and the rest will rely on the leaders of that sector. However, it is not the only opportunity we have to beat the unemployment, economic and emotional upsets.

Not every industry has been affected.  Although this is a global pandemic, let’s look at the local economy, unemployment and mental health. People don’t naturally want to be doing nothing, they want to feel as if they are contributing on a daily basis, and with industries such as medical, transport and distribution set to skyrocket along with supermarkets, butchers, chemists, and green grocers, it is a prime time to be looking at long term investments in these industries. Construction is moving and it is becoming evident as to where the spread of these industries needs to be and where they will thrive the most.

I am seeing stability in some sectors such as storage and growth in others, so diversity still remains key here. There are great returns to be had in all of these industries, and at varied price points, understand the changes that are required moving forward to ensure you protect your asset and are doing your bit to assist the scaling of the businesses, select your tenants wisely and work with them to ensure growth and prosperity for all.

Don’t be alarmed, our tourism and hospitality sectors will return to thriving industries in the very near future and now is the time to negotiate terms, and work towards new experiences and exciting opportunities that will be welcome in our spring. Work with vendors on extended settlements and options, always consider the negotiating points, while it is possible to negotiate hard on price, you are most likely going struggle to get an operating business for a while, so consider what time is worth, and what work you can do while controlling the property now, and paying in the future, of even partial payment now and the balance in time. Rest assured there can be a very positive outcome where the only one missing out is the bank.

Until next time, invest wisely and now is the time
